From the field of play to boardroom, for early years and throughout her life, the organisation uses its experience, research and lobbying power to help break down the barriers that are putting women off.
Between 2015 and 2017, we have invested £1.5m into Women in Sport to help sports bodies to engage more women and girls in sport. Our investment in Women in Sport has included the generation of new insights e.g. Understanding women’s lives and investment in expertise to support national governing bodies and other sports organisations to design and deliver an offer that inspires and engages women.
Our investment also ensures Women in Sport are able to share best practice through a range of mediums, such as their website, newsletters, bespoke training to Active Partnerships and network events that support those involved in sports development.
