When you receive funding from us, we want you to shout it from the rooftops.
Our brand toolkit – developed with the National Lottery – has all the tools, tips and templates you need to promote your project.
Your project will be one of the thousands of good causes all over the UK doing amazing things with money raised by National Lottery players – and it’s important that you share the good news.
You can promote your award in several ways:
- Generating media coverage by issuing a media release
- Holding an event to mark the completion of the improvements to your facility or the purchase of new equipment
- Social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are great ways of publicising your grant news
- Using our branding on all literature, such as websites and brochures, and displaying signs or stickers which show that you have secured financial support from us.
If you receive an award from us that is funded by the National Lottery, it is one of your grant conditions that you acknowledge the National Lottery.
Publicising your grant is vital to help ensure National Lottery funding for the future so more projects can benefit.
Branding and logo
You can also download our logos and brand guidelines via the brand toolkit.
Our logo is really important to us. We call the circular bit 'the player' and this has been with us since our beginning as The English Sports Council.
This history makes the Sport England logo instantly recognisable – you might have seen it on road signs or at your local leisure centre – so we need to protect this identity to ensure that it remains meaningful.
You should only download and use our logo if you are permitted to do so. We reserve the right to stop you from using our logo if we do not believe its use is appropriate.
If you have received funding, you need to determine if you should use our joint National Lottery and Sport England logo or a standard Sport England logo. Most of our current funding programmes are funded by the National Lottery, so the joint logo should be used.
If you are unsure if you meet the requirements to download and use our logo, or which logo to use, then please email: email@example.com.
If you have received funding from us for your National Lottery-funded project then you will need to order and pay for your signs through Icon Display Ltd.
You should have received an order form within your award agreement.
Please download the order form and email Nicola Walsh at Icon Display.
Signage for National Lottery awards should feature the joint Sport England and National Lottery logo. Download the logo here.
If your project is Exchequer-funded, then please follow the guidance here.
If you have any queries regarding your signage, then please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
