When it comes to rain they often experience too much or too little of a good thing.
As climate change apparently starts to disrupt our traditional weather patterns, we are working with Cranfield University and national governing bodies (NGBs) of pitch-based sports to:
- Understand the potential impact on sport of long-term climate change
- Identify the sports and locations which will experience the greatest impact
- Consider how sport can adapt and mitigate against the impact of any changes
- Develop guidance to help clubs manage the short and long term challenges.
The Drought Report sets out the detailed issues while the Drought Advice Note for Clubs advises clubs how to deal with water usage restrictions and use water more efficiently to maintain their pitches and courts.
