The Sport England Yorkshire, Regional Planning Conference was held at the Source Conference Centre, Meadowhall on the 7th March 2007. The Conference speakers provided guidance on the preparation of the Local Development Framework to policy planners and sports partners, including the use of strategic planning tools to form a robust evidence base, the need to consider the Building Schools for the Future programme, and the impact of sport on the emerging Yorkshire and Humber Regional Spatial Strategy. Detailed advice was also presented based on issues with the Lichfield District Council (West Midlands) Core Strategy, the first Local Development Framework document to be formally submitted for examination to a Government Inspector.
