Active People: CSN Priority Group Analysis
Analysis of priority groups in Yorkshire & Humber, comparing overall priority group 16+ population with the relative priority group proportions undertaking 3x30 participation.

Rationale If we are to meet our 1% annual ‘new participants’ target, we need to identify the most relevant priority groups at CSN level and focus our interventions accordingly
Methodology Generate regional demographic data for our priority groups - thereby allowing us to quantify relative priority group proportions at CSP and CSN level Use the demographic data to calculate CSP and CSN ‘new participants’ targets Look at each priority group (PG) in turn - use Active People to compare the PG percentage of 16+ population with the PG percentage of 3x30 participants i.e. the percentage of women as a proportion of the total 16+ population in Bradford vs the percentage of women undertaking 3x30 as a proportion of the total number of 3x30 participants in Bradford Measure the percentage inequality between overall PG population and 3x30 PG participants - the largest inequalities will indicate the greatest need for interventions that will generate new participants The PG graphs show the total 16+ percentage population as a red bar chart, the percentage of 3x30 participants as a blue trace, and the corresponding percentage inequality as a cream ‘box’ Highlight the 5 largest inequalities for each priority group overall, thereby providing CSNs with an objective indication of which priority groups they need to focus on
