Olympic and Paralympic medallists Kelly Sotherton, Marlon Devonish, Leslie Law and Sinclair Thomas helped to launch Sign up for Sport – the Regional Plan for Sport in the West Midlands, on 13 October at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham.

Rolling out the plan across the region
During November 2004, there were six county conferences that began the process of exploring the sub-regional opportunities and considered which agencies were best placed to carry out the actions within the regional plan.
