Funding for community sport
This section of our website is divided into the following three sections for ease of use:
Community Investment Fund The Regional Sports Board has agreed to remove, with immediate effect, the regional ‘bidding rounds’ process which applied to applications to the regional Community Investment Fund (CIF) programme through an open application route. This decision has been taken following the announced closure of the CIF programme by Sport England’s Main Board and the need to implement a nationally agreed process of closure. Although the bidding rounds have been removed the regional CIF programme is still open to new stage 1 applications until 6 January 2009. Sport England West Midlands will continue to make decisions on applications currently in the pipeline, and those received prior to the formal closure of the programme, until all remaining CIF funds have been fully committed.
Information on the amount of CIF funding remaining can be found on the Sport England website and applicants are advised to contact to the regional investment team prior to submitting an application. SE National Lottery consultation Sport England has now published a report on the public consultation undertaken in respect of National Lottery funding to sport. The consultation ran for 12 weeks, from 25 June to 16 September 2008. We wish to thank all partners in the West Midlands who contributed to this process.
