The secrets of an active and healthy workplace
On Wednesday 28 September 2005, Sport England South West hosted a successful conference that promoted the benefits of an active workplace. The conference promoted the concept of ‘active and healthy’ workplaces throughout the SW to drive up the numbers of workplaces adopting the philosophy.

Its main objectives were
• To understand the health and financial benefits  of developing active workplaces.
• To build awareness of what works when adopting an active workplace philosophy.
• To demonstrate the ‘behavioural change’ model underpinning successful interventions.
• To build the network of those engaged in developing active and
healthy workplaces.

Below are the key addresses to the conference, and presentations used in the workshops.
