The RFL in partnership with Student Rugby League and the young volunteer's organization; 'V' has funded new posts aimed at increasing the opportunities available for volunteers in the North West.

Danny Parkinson and Clare Robinson are the new Regional Youth Volunteer Co-ordinators who will be looking for new and exciting ways of attracting volunteers into the great game of rugby league.

They will be looking at encouraging and assisting young people aged 16-25 who are new to volunteering as well as developing and offering ongoing support for existing volunteers, within the sport of Rugby League.

The purpose of the roles are to create a larger, better trained, well motivated volunteer workforce and supply a quality placement where they are valued and respected.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of your sport and many are already working hard in local amateur rugby league clubs, schools, colleges, sport development units and in the local community by giving up their own time week after week.

The volunteer co-ordinators would like to help local teams out by recruiting more volunteers into rugby league by training and developing local youngsters to have the attributes to take on such a role to expand the game throughout the whole of the North West.

If you would like to know more about this new and exciting project or would like to volunteer then contact either Danny or Clare on the contact details below.

Enjoy your Rugby League!
