Olympians launch regional plan at Matfen Hall Hotel

Following an extensive consultation process involving a wide range of partners in a variety of settings, the North East Regional Plan for Sport & Physical Activity was launched at Matfen Hall on the 15 June 2004 at a charitable sports event supported by an array of athletes and administrators.

Coming shortly after the launch of the region's Everyday Sport campaign, the Regional Plan launch will help maintain the momentum for change in the North East.
