Sport England welcomes the appointment of Sue Campbell CBE to the House of Lords in recognition of her major contribution to sport in the UK. She will serve as a Crossbench Peer.

Sue is a former netball and athletics international player and coach and has been Chair of UK Sport since 2003 and Chair of the Youth Sport Trust since 2005. Prior to that she was Chief Executive of the Youth Sport Trust and also spent 11 years as Chief Executive of the National Coaching Foundation.

Jennie Price, Chief Executive of Sport England, said:

“On behalf of everyone at Sport England, I congratulate Sue on her appointment to the House of Lords. It is a fitting recognition of the huge contribution she has made to sport over many years.
