Detailed analysis of recently prepared SPDs
The listing below contains examples of Supplementary Planning Documents that have recently been approved, or are at an advanced stage of consultation.  Examples are given for each Sport England region.

Most of these examples are currently Supplementary Planning Guidance and elaborate policies in local plans that have been approved or have gone through the local public inquiry stage.  They may be revised and re-named as Supplementary Planning Documents after relevant policies in the local development framework have been approved.  Alternatively these guidance documents can be approved by the local authority and used in the transitional period before Local Development Frameworks are approved, as long as they follow the advice in the Circular (see Circular 05/05, PlanningObligations).
