TV presenter and former GB Davis Cup tennis player Andrew Castle will officially open Win Tennis at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, near Marlow in Buckinghamshire at 12.30pm on Thursday 22nd May.

Andrew Castle says: “I’m delighted to have the chance to work closely with the team at Bisham Abbey. I have been hugely impressed by the numbers of top junior players coming through the system. Combining a good education with a competitive performance-led tennis programme will start to bring players through to the top of the senior game.”

The Win Tennis coaching programme is designed to produce champions and currently has 42 European and World ranked players, six of whom are ranked in the world’s top 100 at junior level.  The open day will showcase all aspects of the performance-based academy which offers tennis players the unique chance to live on site, train on site and be properly educated on site.

Mike Walker, Chief Executive and Director of Win Tennis, said:  “We believe Win Tennis is the only centre of excellence in the UK which offers players the opportunity to live on site and create the right environment combining both performance tennis and education.”

Win Tennis is working closely with the LTA and other national governing bodies such as Sport England to achieve their performance goals.

Zoë Dixon, Senior National Centres Manager for Sport England, a public body which owns and Lottery-funded Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, added: “We are proud to offer our continuing support to Win Tennis which, through its delivery of high quality training and coaching, has the means to nurture and grow talent to create the British tennis champions of the future.”
