Budget 2010

Sports Policy News

Last week saw the Government deliver their last budget before the General Election, focusing mainly on economic recovery and the financial services sector. Of relevance to sport was the announcement that DCMS would contribute to £60m worth of efficiency savings as part of the £11bn efficiency savings across Government which have to meet over the next three years. The impact that this will have on sport is yet to be determined, however we will keep you informed of any further developments.

It is important to note that the Chancellor also announced a further extension of the Small Business Rate Relief, which some clubs may be able to access.
