Children and young people are the future of sport. That’s why Sport England is committed to getting more of them playing sport. In 2010/11 we are investing over £24m to get youngsters doing sport.

Our work with children and young people falls into two areas;

  • Working with NGBs and CSPs to get children and young people doing sport in their own time in their local communities.

  • Working with further and higher education to get 300,000 students by 2012-2013 doing more sport as a major contribution to the delivery of the Sport England one million people doing more sport target.
