It is in this context that Sport England South West work to inspire our communities to achieve great things.

Government and Sport
A more active region will be healthier so we need to target priority groups who are currently not doing enough. This will help us, our partners and our customers meet the government's objectives for sport. People need places and opportunities to play, so we're building and supporting a network of clubs, facilities and volunteers. The South West England enjoys the highest levels of wellbeing at work in the UK, according to an independent study.
Workplace wellbeing is associated with good staff morale which in turn leads to high levels of productivity and low absenteeism. Poor ratings, by contrast, tend to be associated with poor staff morale and motivation, inefficient use of manpower, below average productivity and high absenteeism.
