Judith Dean, Regional Director of Sport England South East, said:
“The announcement that Aldershot will host the pre-games training camp for Team GB is not only great news for Britain’s elite athletes, but also for the local community. We will be working with Rushmoor Borough Council and Hampshire County Sports Partnership to make the most of this opportunity to encourage more young people and adults to do more sport.”
“Elite sports men and women will benefit from state of the art facilities along side world-class coaches including: trainers, sports scientists and medical staff. All of this under one roof should help them take a step closer to achieving their Olympic dreams.”
