Community Investment Fund: Yorkshire Criteria
Sport England Yorkshire has been allocated £18,000,000, from the Sport England Community Investment Fund, to distribute over the period 2006-9.

Sport England’s mission is to increase participation in sport and active recreation by 1% every year to 2020. We want to support projects and organisations who share our commitment to increase the number of people regularly playing sport and undertaking active recreation. We will invest our Community Investment Fund into projects which work in partnership with local organisations to promote participation in sport and active recreation.

Sport England is committed to investing through the Delivery System for Sport.  This represents a consistent framework for how sport is organised. County Sport Partnerships play a key role in coordinating investment opportunities across the region. Meanwhile at a local level, Community Sport Networks are currently developing their investment action plans to help achieve increases in participation
