Seb Coe marks 1500 days to the London 2012 Games in the North East as part of a regional visit
Seb Coe was greatly impressed by North East activity and passion when he saw first hand the region's sport, talent, culture, facilities, education and health preparations in the run up to the London 2012 Games. He also joined regional Olympic hero Steve Cram and Tynedale Harriers on track to mark 1500 days to go. more

Beating T2D receives Lord Coe's endorsement
A unique health and fitness project, Beating T2D, aimed at tackling type 2 diabetes through activity has received funding as part of the 2012 legacy in the region. The project has received official endorsement from Seb Coe who said: "It is wonderful to see this unique approach to securing legacy....I am delighted to support this innovative scheme." more
