The Active People Survey, conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of Sport England, started on the 15th October 2005 and was completed on 16th October 2006.

Small Area Estimates of Participation
Using Active People Survey data, Sport England has modelled participation rates at middle layer super output area (MSOA). Active People already provides participation at a local authority level but in recognition that local authority areas are not homogenous and that there will be variation within a local authority, it was decided to model participation down to smaller areas.
