Board Candidates
Lincolnshire Sports Partnership is the county's strategic body for developing sport and sporting opportunities across the county. Uniquely it was set up as an independent, not-for-profit company, comprising all the key sport and recreation partners from across the whole of Lincolnshire.
After a successful start-up period we are currently reviewing the company structure and seeking to broaden and strengthen the make-up of the Board of Directors.
We are therefore seeking expressions of interest from people who feel they can help make a step-change to sport in Lincolnshire, to join a new Board of Directors / Trustees.
In particular we are seeking people who feel that they:
- Can ensure the Partnership organisation is successful and associated with winning ways;
- Are confident that their skills, experience, influence, and leadership will add extra value to the development of sport in Lincolnshire;
- Can create new contacts, capacity and opportunities for the development of sport in the county
- Have the time and motivation to rise to the challenges that this role will hold in the run up to the 2012 games
- Are committed to promoting and exemplifying the highest standards of probity and ethics in public life
The current directors feel that a balance of skills and representation is required, including financial and legal skills, service connections, and an enthusiasm for sport and its uses.
The Board of Directors would kindly ask that all interested parties contact Robin Wright, Director of Sport at Lincoln University: e-mail: rwright@lincoln.ac.uk or write to Mr Robin Wright, Director of Sport, University of Lincoln, Sports Centre, Brayford Campus, Lincoln, LN6 7TS, providing some initial contact details and briefly highlighting your interest in this role.
