Policies for sport and active recreation at the local level emerge from a variety of sources, but are focused on Local Development Frameworks and, where they have been produced, sport and recreation strategies. There are also important links to be made with Community Strategies and Whole Sport Plans produced by National Governing Bodies for Sport.
