I'd like to use my skills and experience to help other volunteers perform their roles better. How can I go about this?

If you’re a long-standing volunteer at your club, or a new volunteer who brings skills that others don’t have, then you may want to pass your knowledge on to other volunteers. If your club has a volunteer manager or coordinator, then approach them first and suggest that you’d be willing to help out. You could help by:

  • Running a training session for other volunteers
  • Writing a ‘how to’ guide that other volunteers can use for reference
  • Buddying or mentoring a volunteer who’s in a similar role to you.
