Unless you have a safeguarding concern (in which you should follow safeguarding procedures), it’s always best to try and sort out any problems you have directly with the volunteer or staff member in question. If that doesn’t work out, you can choose to make a complaint with your club. In this case, you will need to find out whether your club has any procedures in place to handle complaints or a grievance policy. If they do, they should have provided this information in your induction. This will tell you who to contact, how to complain and what will happen next. If your club doesn’t have such a procedure or you don’t know about it, ask someone else in the club (for example your volunteer manager) how to make a complaint.
