Dear Colleague

I am writing to encourage you to sign up for news from the London Cultural Consortium.

The London Cultural Consortium works with the Mayor of London to champion the capital’s vibrant and diverse culture. Chaired by Lord Chris Smith of Finsbury, it brings together leaders of all areas of culture in the capital: the arts, heritage, museums, libraries and archives, sport, tourism, film, media and the creative industries.

The London Cultural Consortium is developing a new website and will be launching a free newsletter in January 2008. These will offer information and debate on the big issues affecting culture in the capital, such as regeneration and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. They will ensure that good projects and useful research carried out by one part of the cultural sector – for example sport, or museums – are shared with the entire sector.

I would encourage everyone who works for or supports London’s culture to sign up for the newsletter and other alerts from the Consortium at www.london.gov.uk/lcc. The sign up process is quick and secure.

Yours sincerely

Justine Simons
