Community Sport and Physical Activity Newtork (CSPAN) Workshops

Five CSPAN Funding Workshops, hosted by the Pro-Active London Partnerships, one in each partnership, were held throughout October.

The workshops, delivered in partnership with Sport England, aim to provide CSPANs with information on the implementation of the London Investment Strategy for Community Sport 2007-2009. There are three strands of targeted investment within the overall Implementation Plan: CSPAN Funding Allocations, Workforce and Local Area Agreement Top-Up. In total, £12m of Sport England London Region’s Community Investment Fund budget has been ring fenced specifically for these areas.

The workshops are specifically targeted at CSPANs in terms of how they can access their indicative funding allocation. Some additional details are provided on the two other strands to provide a complete picture of the Implementation Plan and help identify areas of cross over and further possible funding opportunities for CSPANs can be identified.
