Community Investment in Sport Case Studies

The London Region ‘Asset Utilisation’ Project

During 2006/07 the London Region undertook a detailed assessment of 23 selected Community Investment Fund (CIF) projects. The aim of this work was to assist each one in the identification of a set of Key Performance Indicators pertinent to their projects against which they will report usage data back to Sport England.

The collection and analysis of this management information will enable the Region to monitor the performance of the projects, evaluate the impact of our investments, and identify best practise. This will inform future Sport England investments and will, in turn, be disseminated back to the any projects that we work with in the future.  It will also enable projects to create a clear, detailed picture of how their facility is operating, identify the strengths and weaknesses of their programmes, and thus make informed decisions to maximise their potential.

We are very grateful to all of the projects involved for their time and assistance in the undertaking of this important project.
