Good practice and examples

The planning system can do a lot for sport, as these real life examples and case studies demonstrate

Pilot projects

To build on our 2001 Good Practice Guide, Sport England has been working with local authorities to put the lessons learnt into practice.

South Hams district council and Milton Keynes council have run two pilot projects already and Sport England intends to work with more local authorities in the future to show what can be achieved through the planning system.
