Local Government
Local Government invests up to £100 million across the East Midlands in sport and active recreation every year. Protecting this level of investment is crucial if we are to achieve our participation goals.

Local authorities can choose to direct funds to other services. It is for this reason that we have placed significant resource in supporting local government. If local authorities provide good quality, effective services which are valued by local people and which can demonstrate an increase in participation by their communities in their area then there is a stronger rationale for maintaining the service.

This page aims to provide the knowledge and resources available of the big issues that face local government and sport, including  Local Area Agreements, Comprehensive Performance Assessment, performance management and self assessment.
