The results of the Local Exercise Action Pilots (LEAP) were launched at a high profile conference at the Emirates stadium on Tuesday 5 December.
LEAP was a £2.5 million joint initiative between Sport England, Natural England and Department of Health which tested different ways of helping less active people to do more exercise.
A wide range of sport and active recreation projects took place including over fifties leisure weeks, free swimming for kids, senior peer mentoring and street dance.
The Minister of State for Public Health, Caroline Flint, used the conference to launch the Practice Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPPAQ) which will help GPs and Practice Nurses assess patients' activity levels so that healthcare practitioners and local commissioners can target those at greatest risk from inactivity.
You can download copies of all the slides used in the presentations here. Films of the presentation will be available on this website shortly.
