The Research
The overall aim of this study is to identify current levels of participation in sport by young people with a disability. The primary objectives of the research are to:

• Identify, across a range of sports, current levels of participation in sport by young people with a disability and compare this with data from the 'Young People & Sport Survey 1999'
• Identify barriers to participation in sport by young people with a disability
• Make recommendations on future action to increase participation in sport by young people with a disability

This research is the first to address young disabled people's involvement in sport.
