The Funding Process - Stage 2

Stage 2 – Full Application
The second stage in the application process is the full application. Projects cannot proceed to this stage unless they have completed a Stage 1 application and received an ‘encourage’ decision.  If your Stage 1 application is encouraged by the region you will be given access to the full online application form.

What happens at Stage 2?
You will also be provided with a contact from the region to work with. You will be encouraged to work with key relevant local bodies such as a County Sports Partnership, Community Sports Network and appropriate regional sports governing bodies.

The Stage 2 application is a detailed document and should not be rushed. Each question has a (?) next to it providing guidance as to what your answer should potentially contain. This is very much a guide and any further questions or queries should be referred to your allocated Development Officer.

The documents in ‘Resources to help you’ provide further help and advice to help you complete Stage 2 and prepare a robust application with associated documentation. Once complete, the application should be submitted. The Regional Sports Board will assess the application and you should receive a funding response within eight weeks.

With fierce competition for limited funds each region will be happy to provide advice and guidance to ensure that valuable time is not wasted in submitting lengthy applications that are unlikely to be successful. Further advice is also available on line here
