Hockey club membership boost
Harrogate Hockey Club has seen a 50% cent rise in its membership since Sport England invested over £750,000 of Lottery funds in new facilities at Harrogate Granby School where the club is based.
The grant paid for a full sized synthetic turf pitch with floodlighting, a two-storey club house with changing facilities, function room and a bar.
As a result the club is going from strength to strength and its junior members in particular are reaping the benefits of the superb new playing surface.
