Community centre bridges the generation gap
A social and sports centre that caters for everything from football and racquet sports to line dancing and yoga has united the community of Coddenham.
The centre, which opened in February 2004, achieved Sport England’s desire to get more of the residents active in a facility that is used by young and old throughout the year.
Sport England invested over £425,000 of Lottery funding towards the cost of the project and the result is a single-court, multi purpose sports hall, changing facilities, all-weather multi use games area, a bowling green and a community room.

Sport England has committed to developing a network of multi-sport hubs across the country to boost the number of people actively engaged in sport."
