Community and voluntary sector groups
(including town and parish councils under this
programme) will be required to demonstrate that there is a
local need which supports the project.
If the site is the only playing field based in a parish or
village with no other playing field nearby, then the need for the
project should be demonstrated through appropriate community
consultation and engagement.
The maximum grant available is £50,000 and we would prefer to
have some partnership funding or value in kind for the
project.However, we recognise that some community and voluntary
sector organisations may not be able to secure that, and in these
cases we will not rule out the application.
