There will be a variety of activities on offer to take part in and watch, such as dance and sports activities, exercise classes, health walks and cycle safety.
Everyday Sport is a national campaign, which aims to encourage more people to become more physically active. The Government backed campaign, which was nationally launched by Sport England in September 2005, aims to increase people’s awareness levels of the importance and benefits of incorporating physical activity into their everyday lives. Whether it’s a lunchtime kick about or an evening spent walking the dog, Everyday Sport can be a fun and easy way for everyone to improve their health.
Further info on the Physical Activity & Wellbeing Week can be found in a promotional brochure (5662 KB) or the Everyday N Sport web site.
