The Active People Conference 07 took place in February.

The event attracted almost 200 delegates from across the region with presentations from Malcolm Tungatt (Sport England) who talked through the results of the Active People Survey. Martyn Allison (IDeA), Tricia Kilsby (Audit Commission), David Walker (Director of Public Health) and Barrie Higham (Boston Borough Council) also responded to the challenge the data provides from their organisations perspective.

The afternoon session moved the agenda forward to start looking at revisions to the National Framework for Sport (now the Plan for Community Sport in England) and the Regions Plan for Sport 2004-2008 (Change 4 Sport).

Delegates voted the conference a success with 84% of conference delegates rating the content either good or excellent. A conference report is due out within the next 2 weeks. All Powerpoint presentations from the conference are available here:
