GLOSSARY
Regional and sub-regional planning for sport is focused on nine Regional Plans for Sport and a number of Partnership Strategic Frameworks which are designed to deliver, through action plans, tangible change on the ground. They also form the reference point for strategies for sport and recreation developed at district level, and complement documents such as Regional Cultural Strategies and Regional Spatial Strategies. Regionally important sports facilities, and other Significant Areas for Sport (SASPs) are of particular importance to this level.
