Rapid improvements at white water course A major upgrade to the white water course at the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont is getting underway today. Olympic silver medal winner David Florence is confident the £700,000 project will help him and the country’s other top canoeists in their bid for medals in 2012 as well as creating a white knuckle ride for thousands of recreational users. |

Women’s football coaching drive kicks off
The first of many women set off on their journeys to becoming level two qualified football coaches last night, thanks to a new programme funded by Sport England. This will boost the number of women working in grassroots football and open up the sport to more people. |
Opportunities to get back to the track Thousands of people across the country will be given the opportunity to make athletics a regular and enjoyable feature in their lives as part of a new Sport England-funded campaign.
