The Delivery System and Community Sport Networks - An opportunity to share best practice regarding Community Sport Networks (CSN) as an integral role of the delivery system. Learn from two CSN pathfinder counties of Hampshire and Oxfordshire and gain a local perspective on the benefit of collaborative working at a local level in Slough.

Building Capacity with a focus on Workforce Development - This session will provide you with an understanding of workforce development plans, their priority and impact for funding for CIF. SkillsActive will also provide an update on regional and local/regional action planning, linking into the building capacity agenda and the £2.4 million of 'On Your Marks' ESF funding - showing how this will benefit sport, and those working in sport in the build up to 2012 and the role of the emerging Olympic/Cultural Skills Task Group and how this strategic body will assist in the process of driving forward regional recognition of the role of sport and the needs of the sports workforce.

Implications of new Culture Block in CPA and the Improvement Agenda - With the Culture block secured in the Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA), the performance management framework used to monitor LA’s and drive improvement in our sector, this session will give an understanding of the Performance Indicators and how they are measured, the shift towards self assessment and what you need to do in preparation.As leads in this area of work, external speakers will provide information and share best practice on CPA and Performance Indicators, the Active People Survey, Towards An Excellent Service (TAES) piloted at Slough BC, Regional Commentaries and more.
