Summary
Overview CCDP CCDP

An innovative collaboration between Sport England, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and National Governing Bodies of Sport. Aimed at addressing the needs of community based sports clubs, £100m was made available to fund capital projects in rural, urban and deprived areas. Projects have ranged from new indoor pitch provision, restoration of clubhouses, creation of new playing fields, and the installation of floodlights, to the modernisation of cycling tracks and new synthetic pitches. Over 1600 projects have been supported from 2003 to 2007 with an aim of creating a sustainable and financially viable sports club infrastructure in England. (5m 01s)
