East Midlands highlights:

Regular participation (1) in the East Midlands ranges from a high of 27.4% in Rutland, to a low of 14.3% in Boston.

5.1% of the adult population in the East Midlands contribute at least one hour a week to volunteering in sport. This is compared to 4.7% nationally.

(1)Regular participation in sport and active recreation is defined as taking part on at least three days a week in moderate intensity sport and active recreation (at least 12 days in the last 4 weeks) for at least 30 minutes continuously in any one session. Participation includes recreational walking and cylcing.
